All sources used in the contribution must be quoted and referred to in the respective paragraph. Break of the rules or any form of cheating will result in automatic disqualification from the St. Gallen Wings of Excellence Award. The International Students’ Committee (ISC) St. Gallen as the organiser of the competition reserves the right to contact the university and take further legal measures. The work has to be written especially for the St. Gallen Wings of Excellence Award by only one person.

The jury’s decision, to be announced in spring of the the respective symposium's year, will be final. Each participant will be informed of the result by e-mail. There will be no correspondence concerning the results of the competition. The material will not be returned and may be used for publication and/or included in the symposium website. Your application will be electronically recorded, processed and stored by the ISC. In doing so, the ISC takes its responsibility to protect your data very seriously. As the ISC’s primary objective before and during the St. Gallen Symposium is to foster the best possible support for intergenerational dialogue, within the scope of a web-based platform, for purposes directly related to the event such as the exchange of information or the arrangement of meetings, we provide symposium participants with a service that allows them to make contact with qualifying candidates for the St. Gallen Wings of Excellence Award. Due to the fact that the exchange of information only takes place in the context of this platform, at no time will your contact details be disclosed to other participants, neither will they be displayed in plain text. Use of the information for commercial purposes is prohibited. We reserve the right to make the data in your application available to the partners of the St. Gallen Wings of Excellence Award for the purpose of organising events within the scope of the St. Gallen Symposium. You may withdraw your consent to the use of your contact information in this context at any time.

To ensure a diversity of nations present, a maximum of 15 competitors per country will be invited to the St. Gallen Symposium. A student’s nation is determined only by his/her place of study, not his/her citizenship. Solely a student’s attestation confirming enrollment will serve as proof of the place of study; contributions without such an attestation (confirming enrolment) will not be accepted.

Participation in the St. Gallen Symposium is subject to cancelation due to force majeure or circumstances that are beyond the control of the ISC. In such cases no claims can be made against the organiser.
